OLYMPIC FAMILY LEGACY: INSIDE TOM BRADY’S PLAN TO TURN VIVIAN INTO A SUPERSTAR OLYMPIAN

Sports news: Tom Brady's Olympic dream. Get the report on Vivian’s volleyball talent and Team USA’s wins in Milan.

Olympic Family Legacy: Inside Tom Brady’s plan to turn Vivian into a superstar Olympian
Tom Brady labelled Vivian a "Future Summer Olympian" in Milan?

Tom Brady, now retired and a seven-time Super Bowl champ, took his kids, Benjamin and Vivia,n to Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics. They spent the week soaking up the city, meeting new faces, and cheering for Team USA on the ice. The real rush came on Thursday; the USA’s women’s hockey team pulled off a wild comeback against Canada, winning 2-1 in overtime. Megan Keller scored the game-winner, and Brady got to watch it all unfold right next to tennis legend Billie Jean King.

Four days later, the men’s team kept the momentum going. Jack Hughes scored another overtime winner against Canada on Sunday. You’d think that would be the biggest story from the Bradys’ trip, but no, what really got people talking was something way more personal.

Tom posted a sweet shoutout to his daughter Vivian on Instagram. Just after all the Olympic action, he shared a photo of 13-year-old Vivian, captioning it: “Future summer Olympian” with a string of volleyball emojis. Fans immediately caught on that Brady wasn’t just being a proud dad; he was dropping a real hint.

Vivian, whom he shares with Gisele Bündchen, already plays volleyball at school. She swims and plays soccer, too. What’s cool is that every sport she loves is a Summer Olympics event. Brady’s caption didn’t feel random; it felt like he meant it.

And this isn’t their first Olympic adventure together. Brady and Vivian hit up the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and packed their days with nine different events: gymnastics, beach volleyball, swimming, and diving. Vivian even got to play some volleyball on the sand with Brazilian legend Juliana Felisberta da Silva.

After seeing all the winter action in Italy, Brady’s “summer Olympian” tag for Vivian sounds even more hopeful. He knows exactly where he sees her going.

With the Olympics set to land in Los Angeles in 2028, Vivian will be 15 when the Games kick off in July. Club volleyball is probably her next step. And Brady himself? He’s hinted he’s got his own Olympic goals for 2028, turning the dream into a full-on family mission.

GIANTS SIGN HONEYWELL: SAN FRANCISCO SECURES FORMER DODGERS PLAYOFF HERO ON MINOR LEAGUE DEAL

From LA to SF: Discover why the Giants signed Brent Honeywell and how his "selfless" Dodgers legacy impacted the NL West rivalry.

Brent Honeywell returns to MLB after a one-year hiatus to join the Giants

The Dodgers let Brent Honeywell go after the 2024 season, and now, after taking a year off, he’s heading north to sign with the San Francisco Giants. Chris Cotillo from MassLive says Honeywell’s deal is a minor league contract.

Honeywell’s career has been a wild ride so far. He debuted with the Rays in 2021 but only threw 4 1/3 innings before Tampa Bay shipped him to Oakland for cash. Elbow issues kept him out most of the year, so he never actually pitched in the majors for the A’s.

The next stop was San Diego. He got into 36 games with the Padres, put up a 4.05 ERA, and then got designated for assignment. The White Sox picked him up, but things didn’t go well there; he gave up 11 runs over four games and was DFA’d again.

He kicked off 2024 with the Pirates but barely got a chance, only making two appearances before getting cut in July. The Dodgers claimed him, and honestly, he turned things around. In 18 games with LA, he posted a sharp 2.62 ERA. He started once, finished 12 games, and even pitched in the postseason.

The playoffs weren’t all smooth sailing; he gave up nine runs in 8 2/3 innings, but the team leaned on him when it mattered. After the Dodgers fell behind 8-2 in Game 5 of the NLCS, Honeywell ate up 4 2/3 innings and threw 67 pitches to keep the bullpen fresh.

He came through for the Dodgers’ bullpen on their run to a World Series title. Even though he didn’t pitch last season, the team remembered what he did. When he came to pick up his ring, Freddie Freeman made a point to thank him. “Brent: I think it goes without saying what you did for us in the playoffs last year, especially in Game 5 of the NLCS, will go down as one of the most selfless acts I’ve seen on a baseball field,” Freeman said. “For me personally, I just want to say thank you. That was awesome, what you did last year, man. Appreciate you very much.”

Now, after a year away, Honeywell’s getting another shot this time with the Giants. He’ll try to find his place all over again.

THE CR7 CONNECTION: INSIDE THE POWERFUL BOND BETWEEN CRISTIANO RONALDO AND LINDSEY VONN TODAY

A miracle recovery: Discover how Lindsey Vonn nearly lost her leg and the emotional message sent by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo sends emotional message to Vonn following terrifying downhill accident

Cristiano Ronaldo reached out to Lindsey Vonn after she shared a raw update about her terrifying crash at the Winter Olympics, a crash that nearly cost her a leg. She’s 41 now. Just 13 seconds into the women’s downhill, she hit a gate and had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Stuck in an Italian hospital bed, Vonn went through four major surgeries, then flew back to the U.S. for a fifth. She just opened up about how close she came to losing her leg, saying Dr Tom Hackett is the reason she still has it. On Monday, she posted a video on Instagram, talking through the details and the surgery that saved her.

“I had a complex tibia fracture, fractured my fibula head, and everything was in pieces,” Vonn explained. “It was so bad because I got compartment syndrome. That’s when trauma causes so much bleeding in an area that the blood gets trapped and just crushes everything: muscles, nerves, and tendons. It all kind of dies. Dr Tom Hackett saved my leg from being amputated.

“He did a fasciotomy cut open on both sides of my leg to let it breathe. That’s what saved me. I always say things happen for a reason. If I hadn’t torn my ACL, which would have happened in this crash anyway, Tom wouldn’t have been there to save my leg. I’m really lucky. He spent six hours rebuilding it, and it went amazingly well. I ended up staying in the hospital longer than I wanted because of low haemoglobin from all the blood loss.

“I struggled a lot. The pain was out of control, and I needed a blood transfusion. That finally helped, and I started to turn the corner. Now I’m out. I’m in a wheelchair, pretty much stuck for a while, because I also broke my right ankle. I hope to move to crutches soon, maybe in a few weeks, and I’ll probably be on them for at least two months. But I’ll get to work on rehab, take it one step at a time, like always.”

Thousands of people flooded Vonn’s post with support, but one message stood out from Cristiano Ronaldo himself. He wrote, “Champions are defined by the moments they win and the moments they refuse to give up. Lindsey Vonn, the mountains you conquered were never bigger than the strength you carry. Keep fighting. Legends always rise.”

Now that she’s finally home after those brutal weeks and multiple surgeries in Italy and the U.S., Vonn says she’s focused on rehab: getting from the wheelchair to crutches, hopefully in a few weeks. Healing all the bones will take about a year. After that, she’ll decide if she wants another surgery to remove the metal and finally fix her ACL.

“It’s a long road, but I’ll get there. At least I’m out of the hospital. Love you all.”
