The Timberwolves are going after Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. Apparently, Giannis is ready to move on from Milwaukee, and for the first time, the Bucks are actually listening to offers for their two-time MVP.
Tim Connelly, who runs basketball operations for the Wolves, has a reputation for being aggressive, but let’s be real—Minnesota doesn’t have much to tempt the Bucks. With no tradable first-round picks, any offer would have to be all about player value. Anthony Edwards isn’t going anywhere, so you’re probably looking at a package built around Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid, and Donte DiVincenzo.
That’s a solid group, but none of those guys are All-Stars. And honestly, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst thinks the Bucks want picks above all else if they decide to trade Giannis. “They have to prioritise the draft,” Windhorst said. “This year’s draft and what comes next. Their future depends on it.”

Don’t expect the Rockets to join the chase. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon said on the Hoop Collective podcast that Houston simply isn’t interested. “I’ve been told the Rockets will not be bidders,” he said, and he’s heard that more than once.
