Arteta Acknowledges Chelsea's European Form

Before Sunday's difficult and tough Premier League game against Chelsea, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta talked about Leandro Trossard's injury.

Arsenal grabbed a solid 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday, putting them at the top of their Champions League group.

Even though Bayern had the ball more, Arsenal definitely had the better scoring chances.

But now, they have a new injury to worry about. Trossard seemed to hurt his left leg in the first half of Wednesday's game.

He was subbed out and replaced by Noni Madueke, a former Chelsea player, who played great and scored his first Champions League goal.

Arteta said Trossard might not be able to play against Chelsea.

With Leo, we're not sure yet. Arteta said after the game about Trossard's injury.

He felt something, so we didn't want to risk it.

Arteta also mentioned Chelsea's 3-0 Champions League victory over Barcelona to show how tough the next game will be.

He said that watching Chelsea play against Barcelona shows how good and tough they are to beat.

He added that they'll start getting ready and take it from there.

Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, who didn't play against Bayern, might be back for the Chelsea game.

Arteta said on Tuesday that both players are doing well.

He mentioned that they will get another scan in the next few days to see how they're healing and if they can play this weekend.

Arsenal is currently in first place in the Premier League, six points ahead of Chelsea in second.

ARSENAL FINED £25K AFTER SEVEN YELLOW CARDS IN HEATED CHELSEA DRAW

Arsenal receives an automatic £25,000 FA fine for poor discipline in the Chelsea draw. Six players booked. Caicedo's red card continues Chelsea's poor Fair Play record.

Arsenal Hit £25,000 After Card-Heavy Chelsea Battle

Arsenal will automatically get a fine from the Football Association (FA) due to the number of yellow cards in their game against Chelsea.

The rivals drew 1-1 on Sunday. Merino’s header tied the score after Chalobah’s goal. Arsenal is now five points ahead of Manchester City. Chelsea is in third, one point behind City.

It was a tough game at Stamford Bridge. Referee Anthony Taylor handed out seven yellow cards. He changed his mind about an earlier card for Moises Caicedo after looking at the VAR. He then sent off Caicedo for a bad foul on Merino.

Marc Cucurella was the only other Chelsea player to get a card. The other six went to Arsenal players.

Martin Zubimendi got a card early, just five minutes into the game. Defenders Cristhian Mosquera, Riccardo Calafiori, and Piero Hincapie also received one.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, who came on for Calafiori at halftime, got a yellow card less than 10 minutes after entering the game. Viktor Gyokeres was later booked for a slide tackle on Chelsea’s goalie Robert Sanchez. He was just back from a hamstring injury, subbing in for Eberechi Eze.

The FA rules state that any team with six or more yellow cards in a match faces a £25,000 fine.

Caicedo's red card against Arsenal is part of ongoing discipline issues for Chelsea. It was Caicedo’s first red in 130 Premier League games.

This was the latest red card under Enzo Maresca. His team has now had four red cards in 13 league games this season, and seven in 20 matches overall.

Chelsea is last in the Premier League’s Fair Play standings. They finished 19th last season.

ANALYSIS: WHY MIKEL ARTETA BELIEVES CHELSEA IS READY FOR TITLE PUSH

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was surprised by stating that Chelsea is talented enough to be in the title race. Maresca is wary despite five wins in six games.

Chelsea "One of the Most Enjoyable" Teams, Says Arsenal Boss Arteta.

Mikel Arteta says Chelsea should be in the mix with Arsenal for the Premier League title this year.

Arsenal is on top, six points ahead of Chelsea before their game this Sunday.

Last year, Arsenal got second place for the third time in a row, but Chelsea was fourth.

But Enzo Maresca's team won the Club World Cup this summer and signed some new players to make their team even better.

Chelsea had a rough patch earlier in the season, but they've won five of their last six games, putting them second in the Premier League and seventh in the Champions League.

Before the big game against Arsenal, Maresca said it was too soon to say if Chelsea could win the title.

But Arteta thinks Chelsea should be in the title race and says they're one of his favourite teams to watch.

When asked if he thought Chelsea could win the title, Arteta said, I think we all are, and they're there because they've earned it over the past few years.

They have a strong team, good players, and good coaches, so it makes sense that things are going well for them, and they deserve to be where they are.

Arteta surprised some people when he said Chelsea was the best attacking team in the league after they played in March.

When asked if he still thought that was true, Arteta said, They were [the best last season], but it's early in the season, so it's hard to say.

But they're one of the teams I enjoy watching the most. They're fluid and dangerous and have a lot of individual talent.

They know what they want to do, and that's why they're so tough.

Chelsea was 15 points behind Liverpool, who won the Premier League last season, so it makes sense that Maresca isn't talking up their chances of winning the title.

For me, it's very early, the Italian told reporters on Friday. It's too early even if we win or lose [against Arsenal].

It's only November, and there are still five or six months to go. What's important is where we are [in the standings] in February and March, and then we'll see if we can do something special.

Even though he's not saying Chelsea will win the title, Maresca says there's a good vibe in the team before Arsenal comes to visit.

Chelsea got ready for Arsenal by beating Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League.

It's another big game, Maresca said. We finished the Barcelona game feeling good.

I don't know if it's bigger than the last one. To me, they're all important. It's a good feeling, but it's still just three points. Then we have Leeds, which is also worth three points.

The mindset and mood are very good. We're doing well in the Premier League and Champions League. It's a good feeling to see that we're getting better.

We need that kind of support from the fans. It's always great to share those moments with everyone at the end of the game.
