JOHN CENA REMEMBERS GARDEN CLASSICS AHEAD OF LONG-AWAITED WWE RAW FAREWELL

Madison Square Garden is the fitting venue for John Cena's farewell "WWE Raw" match, which takes place tonight. During his appearance on ESPN's "First Take" earlier today, WWE Intercontinental Champion John Cena talked about a few of his best memories of the New York City venue, which has played host to some significant occasions in his professional wrestling career.

Cena said, "I [returned] to the Royal Rumble in 2008 as a surprise." "I tore my right pec off my body totally. One of the best, Doctor James Andrews, fixed it for me. They promised to keep me away for eight months, but I returned after three months with a fantastic [physical therapy] program."

Cena downplayed his incredible recovery, referring to his return as "an exercise in completing the work." The wrestler recalls the evening as one of the infrequent occasions when a WWE secret has been kept a secret. That evening, Cena came back and, by flipping Triple H over the top rope, advanced to the end of the Rumble.

"I had to give a shoutout to Paul Wight, the 'Big Show,'" Cena went on. "He is the man I picked up to win the United States Championship in a bout at WrestleMania 20. He weighs 550 pounds. I would not be here without him.

Cena expressed his excitement about his next battle against an unidentified opponent on tonight's "Raw" and his wish to make his retirement as much about the talent around him as it is about himself.

Prior to his last bout against the Last Time Is Now tournament winner at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13, Cena will make an appearance (probably in competition) at WWE Survivor Series WarGames next Saturday.

ROYAL RUMBLE BUZZ GROWS AS FORMER WWE STAR JAZZ HINTS RETURN

Former WWE Women's Champion Jazz has hinted at a potential return for the 2026 Women's Royal Rumble. The current TNA producer stated she would need "at least a month" to prepare for an in-ring comeback.

An in-ring comeback to the organisation for the women's Royal Rumble match has been hinted at by a former WWE champion. Attention will shortly shift to the 39th annual Royal Rumble, as WWE Survivor Series on November 29 marks the company's final main roster Premium Live Event of 2025.

The event is scheduled for January 31, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As usual with the Rumble event, there has already been a lot of conjecture about which unexpected names might appear.

Another early 2000s WWE veteran has now hinted at a possible return to the women's match, while names like Chris Jericho may be in line for a comeback in the men's Royal Rumble. Former WWE Women's Champion Jazz was questioned about a possible Rumble comeback in an interview with Ring the Belle.

Jazz is currently employed behind the scenes at TNA, a WWE associate organisation. Jazz responded in jest, saying that if WWE gave her adequate notice in advance, she would "absolutely be prepared" to enter the match.

"Do not let it be a two-week notice. Give me a heads up so I can prepare myself," Jazz remarked.

She went on, "That is all I want; give me at least a month so I can get ready." "More physically as well as intellectually, so I can go to the gym."

Work a little on my firearms. I will absolutely be ready if you just let me know."

Please give WrestleTalk.com credit and include a link to this page if you use this transcription or any part of it. Jazz returned to WWE earlier this year as a guest coach at the Performance Centre, after a twenty-year hiatus.

In July, she would also make an appearance in the audience at WWE Evolution. Although she stopped competing in the ring in 2021, she made a comeback this year in January when she participated in the TNA Knockouts' Championship number one contender's battle royal on iMPACT.

Jazz's possible comeback coincides with reports that her present promotion, TNA, is looking to sign a new media rights agreement. By the end of 2025, TNA is anticipated to announce a new agreement, with AMC showing up as a possible new location for the promotion's weekly programming.

CODY RHODES REVEALS SPECIAL TALENT POISED FOR WRESTLING STARDOM

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has named Dominik Mysterio as a future flag bearer for the company. Rhodes praised Mysterio as a "unique, special talent" who is frequently discussed internally as the future of WWE.

Cody Rhodes is fully aware that "The American Nightmare" cannot remain at the top of the WWE mountain indefinitely. As the WWE Champion and the company's de facto flag bearer, Rhodes has the duty to represent both the present and the future. In doing so, he has his sights set on a specific person who is already circulating among his colleagues as the person who will continue to carry the torch in the future. The wrestler that was selected for that position probably does not mind the title either, because he already calls himself "the greatest luchador of all time."

In an episode of "All the Smoke," Rhodes referred to Dominik Mysterio as a "unique, special talent," and he believes that in the not-too-distant future, he will be (figuratively, of course) paying to see him. Despite working for several WWE entities at the moment, Rhodes stated, "Dom Mysterio does not have the amount of live events that we used to have." "I do not think I am giving anything away, but he is someone who is frequently mentioned internally as someone who will be the future of WWE. He is one of those people I believe what they say. Despite losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship to John Cena on a recent episode of "WWE Raw," Mysterio is still the AAA Mega Champion and is a major figure in not only "Raw," but also several WWE and WWE-related shows, which may hint at his impending influence on the world of professional wrestling.

Rhodes went on to say, "I am going to pay to watch a WWE show in 15 years, and Dom Mysterio will likely be on the top card because he is working out how to do it." Mysterio is not the only character Rhodes has positioned for a prominent rank in the future, but he feels certain that he will be at the head of that line. "Dom is unique. I do not want to seem too definite, but I do think that one of the few that I see on that list is real."
