SHOCK: RAUL JIMENEZ PREMIER LEAGUE RECORD: DISCOVER FOREST’S RELEGATION NIGHTMARE AFTER FULHAM LOSS
Raul Jimenez equals a Premier League record as Fulham sink Nottingham Forest. Discover the truth about Douglas Luiz's error.
Raul Jimenez reminded Nottingham Forest that they still have work to do to avoid relegation.
After Sean Dyche took over, Forest grabbed 13 points in their first eight Premier League matches, calming nerves.
But his team played poorly here. Fulham, even playing better lately, still lost matches, and Jimenez scored a penalty in stoppage time of the first half, getting the win and moving Marco Silva's team up to 13th place.
Matt Barlow from Daily Mail Sport checks out the main things from the game...
BRAZILIANS ON THE PITCH
Carlo Ancelotti's assistant, Paul Clement, was watching the game. He was keeping an eye on the five Brazilian players who started. Four played for Forest, and Kevin played left wing for Fulham.
Jimenez's penalty gave Fulham the win against Nottingham Forest.
Fulham did enough to win on Monday, even though they have played better and lost lately.
Sean Dyche can't think the relegation battle is over.
There were as many Brazilian players as English players. But there were two English No. 10s playing. This shows that Premier League academies might be making too many technical players and not enough of everything else.
Morgan Gibbs-White played No. 10 for Forest, with wingers Callum Hudson-Odoi and Omari Hutchinson and Elliot Anderson in midfield with Douglas Luiz; that's six Anglo-Brazilian players up front.
Emile Smith Rowe was the only English player for Fulham, who started a team with 11 different nationalities.
Things haven't gone well for Douglas Luiz since he came back to the Premier League, on loan to Forest from Juventus. He was one of the players Edu thought caused problems between owner Evangelos Marinakis and Nuno Espirito Santo, the coach who got them back into Europe.
After Nuno left, Luiz was out with an injury. He returned to the team as Ibrahim Sangare was playing for the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Then, he gave away a penalty after kicking Kevin from behind.
It was a soft penalty. Kevin acted like it was worse than it was. Forest complained, but the ref wasn't going to change his mind.
They spent two minutes arguing about it. John Victor was booked for slowing things down even more. Finally, in the fifth minute of added time, Raul Jimenez scored his third Premier League goal of the season from the only shot on target in a bad first half.
Douglas Luiz gave away a penalty and is having a tough time in Nottingham.
Jimenez is still great at playing centre forward. He is 34 and isn't getting much rest because Rodrigo Muniz is injured. But he always bothers the defenders and is a threat in the air.
He missed two good chances. In the first half, he headed an Antonee Robinson cross into the side netting from close range. He missed another one at the end of the game.
KEVIN IS STRUGGLING.
Fulham paid £34.6 million for Kevin. Right now, it's not looking good. Samuel Chukwueze is at the AFCON with Nigeria, so this was Kevin's chance to get used to the team, get used to how fast the English game is, and do well.
He got the penalty because he was quick and didn't give up. But he was often frustrating. The home crowd was annoyed because moves would break down because of bad passes and decisions. The away fans were annoyed because he kept falling and rolling around.
Kevin is only 22 and has talent. But his struggles remind people of other wingers who couldn't get used to the Premier League after playing in Ukraine, like Mykhailo Mudryk and Manor Solomon.
The fans were happy when Josh King replaced him at the end.
Kevin is Fulham's most expensive signing and got a penalty, but he is still struggling.
FOREST RESPONDS
Neco Williams got Forest's first shot on target early in the second half. But it was an easy save for Bernd Leno.
The visitors played better after the break and took shots from far away. But they couldn't get through Fulham's defence, which was led by Joachim Andersen and Jorge Cuenca, who was filling in for Calvin Bassey.
Maybe Nikola Milenkovic was trying to get his team going when he got in Cuenca's face at the end. It didn't help.
VAR REVIEW: CHELSEA 2-2 BOURNEMOUTH, ESTêVãO PENALTY DRAMA EXPLAINED! WAS IT A FOUL OR A DIVE
Explaining the VAR: How an 11th-minute penalty check at Stamford Bridge saved a point for Chelsea against a resilient Bournemouth.
Every week, the Video Assistant Referee stirs up drama in the Premier League. Let's break down how these calls are made and if they're actually right.
This season, we're digging into the big moments to explain the VAR process and the rules of the game.
What went down: Chelsea's Estêvão was moving into the Bournemouth box, with Antoine Semenyo on his tail. Estêvão went down after some contact with Semenyo. The ref, Barrott, waved off Chelsea's penalty shouts, saying there wasn't a foul. He thought both players made contact naturally as they were running, and Estêvão basically tripped himself.
VAR said, "After looking at it, VAR Pawson suggested Barrott take another look at the monitor for a possible penalty because Semenyo might have tripped Estêvão."
VAR's take: Pawson had to figure out if the contact was just part of the play, like the ref thought, or if Semenyo fouled Estêvão. It was clear Estêvão tripped, but the question was how the contact started.
At first glance, it would be hard for Pawson to disagree with the ref because the main TV angle wasn't clear. But after checking out the sideline and behind views, Pawson saw that Semenyo stepped into Estêvão's path, making enough contact with his leg to cause him to trip.
Pawson told Barrott to check the monitor for a possible penalty. Barrott watched the replays, agreed, and gave Chelsea the penalty.
The call: It was a reasonable VAR call based on today's standards. But it's a borderline case.
Barrott seemed unsure of the monitor and needed some convincing from different angles.
A lot of the time, this kind of contact is just from players running normally, and someone goes down. To give a penalty, there really needs to be a clear foul by the defender. You could say that happened here, but it's a pretty low standard for VAR to get involved.

BREAKING: UNAI EMERY REVEALS THE REAL REASON BEHIND HIS COLD ARTETA HANDSHAKE SNUB NOW
Unai Emery explains why he skipped the post-match handshake as Arsenal’s 4-1 win ends Aston Villa’s 11-game streak at the Emirates.
Unai Emery said he didn't shake Mikel Arteta's hand right after Aston Villa lost at the Emirates Stadium since the Arsenal manager kept him waiting.
This loss stopped Villa's winning streak at 11 games, their first in almost two months.
Villa held their own in the first half, but Arsenal scored early in the second when Gabriel got to the ball before Emi Martinez on a corner.
Martin Zubimendi quickly made it 2-0, and Leandro Trossard scored a third goal a little after an hour had passed.
Soon after entering the pitch, Gabriel Jesus scored, making it 4-0. Ollie Watkins was able to respond by tapping in a goal late in the game after Donyell Malen's nice play.
After the game, Emery waited to shake Arteta's hand, but he went to the locker room since Arteta was still celebrating with his team.
It’s easy to see. I like to do things fast,” Emery said when asked about why he didn’t shake Arteta’s hand.
“I shake hands, then I go to the dressing room with my players and coaches. I was waiting.
“Arteta was busy with his coaches, so I went inside. It’s not a big deal for me.”
About the match, Emery commented, “We played great in the first half, and things were going our way. We had corners and defended well. We didn’t let them get a corner in the first half.
“We felt good, but we let in the first goal in the second half. Onana getting hurt didn’t help since he’s important for set pieces and in the midfield.
“We didn’t quit, and we kept playing hard. We scored one goal and almost scored more. Arsenal is the best team in the league and should win the title.
“I’m not sure which day it is since we’ve played Arsenal twice already, and we still have to play Nottingham. But I’m happy with our goals and how we're trying to attain them.
