MO SALAH FEAR: DANIEL FARKE WORRIES LIVERPOOL STAR WILL END GOAL SLUMP
Farke defends Liverpool's struggling defence and captain Van Dijk, but admits his team's low Premier League standing means they must fight to take points on Saturday.
Daniel Farke is a bit worried that Mohamed Salah might just find his amazing form again when they play Leeds.
The Leeds coach isn't counting Liverpool out, even though they haven't had the best season so far. Liverpool's coach, Arne Slot, is feeling the heat since the team has only won one of their last five games. Right now, Liverpool is ninth in the Premier League.
After Liverpool tied with Sunderland, it was the first time since September that they haven't lost two Premier League games in a row. Salah hasn't started in the last two games, but he might be back in the lineup on Saturday.
Farke's hoping that Salah's goal slump, which has lasted over a month, will stick around for one more game.
When asked if he was worried about Salah finding his form this weekend, Farke said, Yes, I am, because he's a top player with incredible stats.
When a player like that isn't doing so well, it can be risky because the more games he goes without a goal or assist, the more likely he is to score or assist.
Let's hope he doesn't score for one more game.
Liverpool's defense has been getting some heat, especially Ibrahima Konate, and even captain Virgil van Dijk is getting questions about how he's playing.
Talking about the two defenders, Farke said, I wouldn't say it's just Konate and Van Dijk who are having a hard time in the back.
They're both great defenders.
Strikers can lose the ball sometimes, but a mistake in the back can be costly and draw criticism.
I'm sure we're up against top defenders who have been great for years, even this season, against teams like Real Madrid not long ago.
As for Leeds' injuries, they'll decide on Lukas Nmecha (hamstring) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (calf) at the last minute. Sean Longstaff and Daniel James are still out for a while.
Leeds is currently 17th in the Premier League, just two points above the relegation zone.

Guler, who's 20, moved to Real from Fenerbahce in 2023. He's played in over 80 games for the Spanish team in all competitions.
He's scored 15 goals and assisted 18 times during that time. His play for Xabi Alonso's team has caught the attention of quite a few English teams.
The report says that all three Premier League teams are seriously interested in Güler, who mainly plays as an attacking midfielder but can also play on the wing.
Güler's contract with Real Madrid lasts until the end of the 2028/29 season, but it sounds like clubs might try to get him to leave Madrid next year.
Liverpool's manager, Slot, reportedly wants to add more creative players to his team, even after spending over £400 million on new players this summer. He thinks Güler is the right guy for the job.
