HILL DICKINSON DEBUT: EVERTON CONFIRMS MENU BEFORE NEWCASTLE TRIP
Everton rolls out a special Christmas menu for Newcastle fans visiting their new stadium. A holiday treat awaits away supporters.
Newcastle United fans heading to Everton’s Hillsborough Stadium for the first time might be in for a holiday treat.
After Tuesday’s loss to Marseille, Newcastle United needs to regroup and concentrate on doing better in the league.
Lately, their away game showings under Eddie Howe haven't been great, and another bad performance will only make things worse.
This is Newcastle’s first game at Everton’s new ground, so it’s understandable if fans aren't feeling too hopeful.
But those going to the Everton versus Newcastle United game could get a holiday surprise.
Even though the game is in late November, it looks like the Christmas menu will be available for those travelling to Merseyside.
Everton’s website stated that the new menu, made with Aramark, features warm dishes that will be served throughout December and early January.
This winter, the Through Pass stores in the East Stand will have a special item: the Pig Pot, a mix of pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, and stuffing, covered in gravy.
Around the stadium, fans can also get giant pigs in blankets, Christmas dinner Yorkshire pudding wraps, loaded sausage rolls, holiday pizza slices, and rosti bites, along with favourites like salt and & pepper fried chicken, sausage rolls, 30 Mile Pies, cheeseburgers, BBQ brisket burgers, plant-based choices, gluten-free options, and Everton Toffee doughnuts.
Newcastle United fans can look forward to the new menu on their first trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium. What are you most excited about for the trip?
“Fans can enjoy giant pigs in blankets, Christmas dinner Yorkshire pudding wraps, loaded sausage rolls, holiday pizza slices, and rosti bites.”
Everton Rolls Out Christmas Menu
Newcastle United didn’t have a great result in their first game at Goodison Park.
Everton began playing at their former place, Goodison Park, in 1892, after a short time at Anfield.
Newcastle’s first time at Goodison was in September 1898, and they lost 3-0.
Things don’t look great. Newcastle hasn’t won an away game in the league since April and lost to West Ham and Brentford pretty badly before falling apart in Marseille.
There’s much to talk about before Saturday’s game.
Anthony Gordon will probably get a tough welcome from the home fans, while Jordan Pickford and Jack Grealish will likely be watched closely.
Everton has lost only one game since their new stadium opened, winning three and drawing two.
If Newcastle messes up again and puts on another bad away performance, more questions will come up.
Still, Everton has had problems scoring goals this season, so they have their own issues.
CONOR GALLAGHER CONFIRMED AS "VITAL" STARTER FOR SPURS FOLLOWING BENTANCUR’S INJURY LAYOFF
Conor Gallagher proved the doubters wrong against Man City. Discover why his €40m move to Tottenham is finally paying off for Spurs.
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid both decided Conor Gallagher wasn’t worth the trouble. At Chelsea, he had his moments—Pochettino liked him, but the fans never really warmed up. When Chelsea shipped him off to Atletico, it made sense. Enzo Fernandez stepped up, took over Gallagher’s role, and fit in perfectly next to Caicedo, with Cole Palmer adding that extra spark up front.
Things didn’t get much better for Gallagher in Spain. He barely got a chance at Atleti, lost his spot in the starting eleven, and pretty much ended up on the transfer list before anyone had time to blink. Interest was lukewarm at best until the winter window rolled around. Aston Villa wanted him and went after him pretty aggressively, but then Tottenham swooped in late. Spurs needed someone to patch up the midfield after Bentancur’s injury, so they just paid up—40 million euros, no hesitation.
His start at Tottenham? Rough. Honestly, that was to be expected. He’d played well at Palace before, but after his struggles at Atleti, he needed time to adjust. Sitting on the bench in Spain didn’t do him any favours.
Then Gallagher showed up. People doubted whether he could really add creativity and move the ball forward for Spurs, so his early struggles got people worried. But then came the 2-2 draw against Manchester City. He suddenly looked like the player both Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank were so desperate to sign.
Against City, Gallagher flipped the script. He set up a crucial assist, drove play forward on the dribble, and kept drawing fouls—everything the Spurs needed. Defensively, he was all over the place in a good way: two tackles, three interceptions, a full 90 minutes, and a huge part of the Spurs clawing their way back into the game.
Tottenham fans loved it. They saw the effort, the attitude, and the hunger to win. Gallagher just wouldn’t quit, and in that second half, he, Xavi Simons, Pape Matar Sarr, Destiny Udogie, and Dominic Solanke ran the show. Four of those guys have been carrying Spurs lately, so Gallagher is fitting right in with them. That’s a pretty good sign he’s going to work out just fine in North London.
