THE PRICE IS SET: CHELSEA DEMANDS €80M FOR PEDRO NETO TRANSFER

Barcelona wants Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, but the Blues will demand over €80 million for the Portuguese attacker, a fee that may be too high for Barca.

The Price Is Set: Chelsea Demands €80M For Pedro Neto Transfer
Chelsea Will Sell Neto If Barcelona Meets a High Price

Pedro Neto might not always have been a fan favourite at Chelsea, and he's had mixed times since he came from Wolves. Yet, he's become essential to Enzo Maresca's strategy. This season, he has four goals and two assists over 16 games in all competitions.

Neto does more than just score; he's key to Chelsea's style. When there's a chance to counter-attack, players look for Neto. The Portuguese winger's speed and ball skills let him cover lots of ground. He can also play many spots, which helps any team he's on.

It's no surprise that Neto's good play has caught attention, and FC Barcelona, Chelsea's opponent this week, seems interested.

According to Fichajes, Barcelona is really interested in Neto. The main problem for Barca is Chelsea's strong position. Word is that any talks would begin at over €80 million, which is more than the Spanish club can pay right now.

Chelsea will let Pedro Neto go to Barcelona if one thing happens:

Barcelona sees Neto as a player who could make their team better. Though what Chelsea wants for him might be too expensive unless they sell some players first.

Then again, Estevao might soon take over that right-wing spot. Many fans think the Brazilian is ready to start for the Blues regularly.

If that happens, would Neto agree to stay at Chelsea as a backup? Maybe not. However, since he can play different positions, he could also start on the left wing, where the Blues do not have a guaranteed starter.

ENZO MARESCA FIRES ARSENAL MESSAGE TO CHELSEA SQUAD AFTER BIG BARCA WIN

Enzo Maresca tells his Chelsea squad to take a complete 48-hour break to recharge before their crucial Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Forget Barça, Arsenal Is The Next Test

Chelsea's coach, Enzo Maresca, wants his players to take a complete break for 48 hours before their game against Arsenal.

After Chelsea beat Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, they're getting ready to host Arsenal on Sunday.

Chelsea is currently second in the Premier League, trailing Arsenal by six points as they head into the game at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal has less time to chill since they played Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Maresca wants his team to use the extra rest to their advantage before facing Arsenal this weekend.

"I've told the players to totally forget about football for the next two days," Maresca said. Rest up and get your energy back.

Because we've got Arsenal on Sunday. My message was simple: get your energy back. That's the most important thing right now.

Then, on Friday, we'll start planning for Arsenal. We need to keep this winning feeling going because it's easier to recover when you're winning.

Football expert Gary Neville thinks Chelsea will have a tough time against Arsenal and doesn't think they're ready to challenge for the title just yet.

The Arsenal game will show us what Chelsea is really made of, Neville said.

Chelsea might make us think they could challenge for the title, but I don't see that happening as the season progresses.

But the Arsenal game is a big test, and that's how you learn about teams.

Craig Burley said that Chelsea will need to play even better than they did against Barcelona to beat Arsenal.

Believe it or not, Chelsea will have to play a lot better, Burley told ESPN. They'll need to step up their game from tonight to stand a chance against Arsenal.

Arsenal isn't going to play like Barcelona did tonight. This game will really show what Chelsea can do, even more than the Barcelona game.

The last time Chelsea hosted Arsenal, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

But Arsenal won the most recent game between them 1-0 in March.

Arsenal thrashed Tottenham 4-1 in their latest Premier League match, while Chelsea won 2-0 away at Burnley.

MESSI TALK: ENZO MARESCA'S RESPONSE TO ESTEVãO COMPARISON REVEALED

Enzo Maresca warns against comparing Estevao to Lionel Messi after the teenager's brilliant goal in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Barcelona.

Maresca on Estevão and Messi Debate

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca thinks it's too early to compare Estevao to Lionel Messi. This comes after Estevao, the Brazilian player, scored in Chelsea's 3-0 win against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge (a game where Barcelona had 10 players).

Even though the 18-year-old's goal was a highlight, Maresca wants to keep the young winger focused. When asked if Estevao's goal reminded him of Messi, Maresca said:

Estevao just needs to chill out, have fun, train, and play.

He and Lamine are so young. If we start talking about Messi or Ronaldo, it puts too much stress on them. They need to enjoy themselves, come to training happy, and work hard. Comparing them to Messi or Ronaldo is just too much right now.”

Maresca has been trying to shield Estevao, who has only started four Premier League games for Chelsea this season.

When asked if Estevao's good play would make it harder to keep him from starting more often, Maresca insisted that Chelsea has a lot of good players, so there's no need to rush Estevao's progress.

“No, not really. If he doesn't play, Pedro Neto can play on the wing. And Pedro is good. We like Pedro. "We just try to stick to our strategy and use all 11 players," Maresca said.

“Tonight, in what was maybe our toughest game this season, we decided to play Estevao. I let players play.

“It’s all about the strategy. The strategy decides who starts. That’s why we make so many changes. People say we’re unpredictable, but it’s just the strategy.

“Next up is Arsenal. The strategy isn’t always perfect; sometimes it’s wrong. But it picks the starting 11. When the strategy calls for Estevao, he’ll play. And he’ll definitely play a lot because he’s very talented.”
