Sesko Out: Maguire Doubtful In United's Injury Woe

Manchester United will play Everton in the Premier League on Monday night, and here is the latest information about the teams.

Manchester United have two more injury worries before their Premier League game at home against Everton on Monday night. United are playing again after the international break when they play the Toffees at Old Trafford, following five games without a loss.

United were already likely to be without Benjamin Sesko, who is hurt, for the Everton game, and now they have two more injury problems before the game. Sesko stopped playing for his country because he hurt his knee in a recent game against Tottenham Hotspur, and he will probably be out for a few weeks.

Ruben Amorim will give an update on Sesko at his press conference before the game on Friday afternoon, and the United head coach will also be asked about how the other two players are doing.

United are worried about two new injuries

Manchester United welcomed most of their players who were playing for their countries back to Carrington on Friday morning before their Premier League game against Everton. On Friday morning, the club showed a live video of their training session, and three players were not there.

Benjamin Sesko was not able to train because of a problem with his knee. Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo were also not seen taking part. We don't know how bad Maguire and Mainoo's problems are, but Sesko is expected to be out for several weeks.

Ruben Amorim will tell the media how they are doing during his press conference before the game.

MATHEUS CUNHA DOUBTFUL FOR EVERTON: MAN UNITED STAR SUFFERS TRAINING GROUND KNOCK

Man United could be without Matheus Cunha for the Everton clash due to a head injury. His potential absence complicates Ruben Amorim's team selection as the Red Devils aim for a top-four push.

Matheus Cunha Sustains Knock In Training

Manchester United may face the challenge of competing without a crucial player on Monday during their Premier League match against Everton at Old Trafford.

Recent reports indicate that Matheus Cunha, a forward for Manchester United, suffered a minor head injury and might not participate in the upcoming match against Everton.

The Red Devils aim to avoid a loss for the sixth consecutive match as they host the Toffees in their 12th fixture of the Premier League season.

Ruben Amorim deserves recognition for the enhanced outcomes and performances of his team. However, it is important to note that the recent three victories out of the last five games can be attributed to the summer acquisitions of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

Although Cunha has netted just a single goal this season, his high energy has been crucial to the club's achievements as they strive for a Champions League spot.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Amorim might need to face Everton without Cunha, who sustained a head knock in training on Saturday. This injury kept him from attending a Christmas event in Altrincham.

As for who will take the forward position in Cunha's absence, Manchester United is also contending with the injury of striker Benjamin Sesko, who will be sidelined for several weeks, complicating team selection for Amorim.

Mbeumo is likely to take on one of the three attacking positions, while Mason Mount could be considered as a false nine, which would again send Joshua Zirkzee to the bench.

Amad Diallo played in an attacking role in the last match against Tottenham Hotspur on November 8, but since he favours a right-wing position, starting the 23-year-old may require Mbeumo to play as a striker.

All three forwards exhibit versatility, which could lead to a fluid attacking style that might challenge Everton’s defensive setup, although they may struggle with physicality in the box.

Currently, Manchester United sits in 10th place with 18 points, but a victory on Monday could elevate them to fourth position by the end of matchweek 12, merely one point from third-placed Manchester City and two points behind second-placed Chelsea.

The schedule for the Red Devils appears more favourable compared to their rivals for Champions League qualification, especially since they are not engaged in European competitions and have been eliminated from the EFL Cup.

Amorim will likely be optimistic about the performance of teams like Liverpool, as any points dropped by them enhance United’s prospects of finishing in the top four when the season concludes in May.

The potential impact of losing key players like Mbeumo to the Africa Cup of Nations is another consideration, but the team’s growing resilience offers a positive outlook.

RUBEN AMORIM STUNS CRITICS WITH ANNIVERSARY STATEMENT ON MAN UTD

Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim insists the Premier League table is "irrelevant" as his improving side looks to continue their five-game unbeaten run, focusing on control and dominance.

Amorim Warns Man Utd That The League Table Is Irrelevant.

Amorim's time as United's leader began with a 1-1 tie at Ipswich, and since then, the Portuguese leader has gone through many tough times while in charge of the big English soccer team.

However, the latest outcomes have been positive, with United going into this weekend's games in seventh place in the Premier League standings and without a loss in their last five games.

When Amorim was reminded that United will only play three teams in the top 10 in the next 10 games, he said to reporters, "It is not important. In our league, it is not important.

"The standings are not important because everything is so close. That is not important.

"If you understand our team's past, we never know which games will be hard. That is totally not important in the Premier League."

A lot has changed at United since they went to Ipswich last November, where Marcus Rashford scored early in the 1-1 tie.

The forward is one of five players who started in that game who are no longer on the United team.

"The first thought was about thinking that the environment is totally different in the Premier League, and that made me excited," said Amorim.

"I quickly realised that we would have some problems with some things. But it was that feeling of, yes, this is the best league in the world. It might be the best club in the world, but it is also a big job and it will take a lot of effort."

Still, a hopeful Amorim added: "I think we are proving that (improvement), but the important thing is that no matter what we did in the recent games, we cannot forget that we started at that point to struggle a lot last year.

"We have to remember that and play every game like it is the last game or the first game.

"If you ask me, yes, I expect a team (now) with more control and with more power, playing better soccer, and the most important thing is that we are more competitive in every way."
