PSG IBRAHIM MBAYE'S BRILLIANCE AGAINST KENYA EARNS SENEGAL COACH'S PRAISE

PSG wonderkid Ibrahim Mbaye starred on his first Senegal start, scoring and assisting in an 8-0 rout of Kenya. The 17-year-old broke national team records, boosting his 2025 AFCON squad chances.

Senegal's 8-0 Thumping of Kenya featured four goals from the PSG wonderkid Ibrahim Mbaye, who has made 14 appearances for the current UEFA Champions League winners.

Ibrahim Mbaye made a brilliant effort in the Lions of Teranga's convincing 8-0 victory over Kenya, making his first-ever start for Senegal in just his second appearance.

By becoming the youngest goal scorer and assister in the history of the national team, the Paris Saint-Germain striker made a compelling case for a position in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations roster.

Even though Mbaye has only played in 26 professional games for PSG (1 goal, 2 assists), Senegal's head coach, Pape Thiaw, has already come to trust him.

The young assailant took advantage of the situation after being called up before his 18th birthday, which he will celebrate on January 24. Mbaye made an impact in his maiden start against Kenya following a brief 15-minute appearance in a friendly defeat to Brazil.

With Mbaye at the centre of the action, the Lions of Teranga destroyed Kenya 8-0. He gave two assists (for Malick Diouf in the 12th and Sadio Mané in the 17th), won a penalty that Mané converted in the 31st, and launched his international career with a brilliant left-footed shot in the 48th minute.

To a rousing ovation, he replaced Cheikh Sabaly after a powerful 68 minutes. Just weeks before the AFCON and seven months before the World Cup, the Trappes native's record-breaking achievement has greatly raised his profile.

"My guys actually followed instructions; therefore, I want to commend them on that. After the victory, Pape Thiaw told AfriqueSports, "They played a serious match, respected our game plan, and I considered that extremely essential." "It is a huge asset when you have competitive players that detest losing and know how to recover from a setback, Thiaw Applauds the Team's Attention

The coach admitted that it was a great opportunity for Mbaye, whose growth continues on a steady upward track, even though he pointed out that the overwhelming victory should be put in perspective.

He has already made 14 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season, and Luis Enrique is starting to include him more frequently.

Despite his lack of consistency, his Champions League start versus Barcelona demonstrated his club manager's faith in him. Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele's absences have put Mbaye in a position to gain more playing time and establish himself as a promising international player.

SHOCK STATEMENT: PSG PLAYER FABIAN RUIZ 'ALWAYS SAID' HE WANTS SPANISH FOOTBALL NOW

PSG and Spain midfielder Fabian Ruiz has declared his desire to rejoin his boyhood club, Real Betis, before he retires. The Ballon d'Or nominee left Betis for Napoli in 2018 and now hopes to finish his career at the Benito Villamarin.

Before his career ends, Paris Saint-Germain player Fabian Ruiz has stated that he wants to rejoin Real Betis. A contender for a spot in Spain's midfield heading into the 2026 World Cup, the Ballon d'Or nominee was among the finest in the game the previous season.

Despite missing several starters, La Roja needs to avoid a nine-goal loss to qualify for the United States, Mexico, and Canada. They will don their World Cup shirt for the first time on Tuesday night against Turkiye at La Cartuja. Despite missing several players, Spain has not appeared weak and defeated Turkiye 4-0 on the road on Saturday. However, Ruiz benefited from the fight for spots.

For us to come here and enjoy playing for the national team, that increases our level of competition and motivates us to always give our best effort. It appears that every player does well, regardless of who plays, which says a lot about Spain and Spanish players. We intend to keep proving on the field that we are among the top national teams," Fabian told Cadena SER.

Fabian, in particular, is up against competition for his position in the middle of the field. A trio of Dani Olmo, Fabian, and Rodri Hernandez led La Roja to the Euro 2024 final after Pedri was injured starting in the quarterfinals. Since then, all three have been threatened for their spots by the performances of Pedri, Mikel Merino, and Martin Zubimendi.

"I am battling for the dream of playing in a World Cup because I was unable to make it to the last one, and I hope to do it in 2026." In addition, playing at home (in Seville) with my family and supporters is always a lot of fun," Fabian remarked on the possibility of attending the competition.

Fabian is excited for Betis' comeback.

The PSG player was instrumental in the team's Champions League victory the previous season under Luis Enrique. Fabian stated that he hoped to rejoin Benito Villamarin at some point after leaving Betis for Napoli in 2018.

"As a Betis supporter, I have always stated that I hope to complete my career there, though I am not sure when that will happen. I am pleased for them because they have had several successful seasons with talented players, which is also a result of (Manuel) Pellegrini. I have no control over it, but because he is an excellent coach, let us hope he keeps going.

PSG FACES COSTLY BATTLE AFTER KYLIAN MBAPPé SEEKS GIGANTIC COMPENSATION CLAIM

The legal battle between PSG and Kylian Mbappé is in a Paris labour court. The player is claiming £232m from the club, while PSG is countersuing for £211m over his free transfer to Real Madrid and a collapsed Al-Hilal deal.

Mbappe won six Ligue 1 titles and three French Cups in his seven years at PSG

The protracted conflict between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe reached a Paris labour court on Monday, with both sides requesting enormous compensation fees from one another over a number of concerns. The former is requesting £232 million from his former club.

For an incredible £166 million, the Parisian team acquired the forward from Monaco in 2017, and the two continued to have a fruitful seven-year association. Alongside players like Lionel Messi and Neymar, Mbappe led the line with 256 goals in 308 appearances, helping the team win 15 titles.

However, with the French international's free transfer to Real Madrid in 2024, the relationship between the two parties only got worse. When Mbappe was in the last year of his contract at the Parc des Princes in July 2023, the two began to have problems. He later claimed that he had been frozen out of the team after turning down a move to Al-Hilal, a Saudi Pro League team, and refusing to sign a contract extension.

The 26-year-old reportedly agreed with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to forgo €55 million in bonus payments the following month after missing the team's preseason tour and season opener. This would allow him to depart on a free transfer and safeguard the club's finances. However, he gave his team instructions to seek money after he left the club. Additionally, even though PSG was mandated to pay him the money, they challenged the Ligue de Football Professionnel's (LFP) directive to do so in September 2024.

Both Mbappe and PSG are looking for sums.

Mabppe's camp has disagreed with PSG's belief that there was an agreement between the two parties to forego some of his end-of-contract payments. They have therefore brought the matter before the Labour Court, alleging that the disagreement and the club's attitude have caused him to be due £232 million in damages.

The club, however, is also requesting damages because they feel they should be compensated for the unsuccessful attempt to transfer to Al-Hilal, which would have generated €300 million (£259 million). They contend that Mbappe "behaved disloyally by hiding for about eleven months, between July 2022 and June 2023, his choice not to renew his contract" and that he violated "legally obligatory contractual duties."

The club has also denied the former player's allegations of "harassment or pressure." As a result, they are demanding €240 million (£211 million) from Mbappe in compensation for lost transfer fees, harm to the club's reputation, and breach of contract.

It will take the tribunal a few weeks to make a verdict. A decision is anticipated on December 16th.
