It has been confirmed that Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will face off.

On December 19, Joshua, the two-time heavyweight world champion, will face the Problem Child in a fight that will be televised on Netflix.

Paul, a former YouTuber who is now a boxer, was scheduled to face Gervonta Davis, 30, in an odd exhibition match. However, the altercation ended when Davis's ex-girlfriend launched a civil lawsuit against him, alleging domestic abuse.

With only a month's notice, Joshua has now taken the initiative to challenge the online sensation. "This simulation is not created by AI. "Judgment Day is today," Paul said.

An elite world champion in his prime squares up against a professional heavyweight. No one can deny me the chance to compete for a world title if I defeat Anthony Joshua, and all doubts will go.

"This is what you wanted, all of my haters. I apologise to the citizens of the United Kingdom.

"Britain's Goliath is put to sleep on Friday, December 19, under the lights in Miami, shown live worldwide exclusively on Netflix."

"I want to fight Anthony Joshua - exclusive - because I know I will f****** beat Anthony Joshua's ass," Paul said in a prior podcast comment, criticising Joshua.

"He lacks a chin, is stiff, and lacks creativity." I want to fight you, Anthony, even though we are friends and I adore you.

"Anyone, including Jake, can acquire this job. "No mercy," Joshua declared.

"I am returning with a huge show after taking a break. For me, it is a huge opportunity. Whether you like it or not, I am here to shatter all records, do huge numbers, and get into big battles while remaining cool, collected, and cool.

"Believe me when I say that many more fighters will seize these chances in the future. Jake Paul's face is ready to make the internet go crazy.

INVESTIGATIVE REPORT: TRACKING THE "JAKE PAUL CURSE" FROM NATE ROBINSON TO ANTHONY JOSHUA

Eight of Jake Paul’s 13 opponents have faced bizarre misfortune. From Ben Askren’s lung failure to Tyron Woodley’s bankruptcy.

Jake Paul’s former opponents are facing strange, dark fates.

Of the 13 people Jake Paul has fought, it's strange that eight seem to have had bad luck after their fight.

Here’s the rundown: three faced near-death experiences, some disappeared from the public eye, one had his personal life crumble, one declared bankruptcy, and another was deported.

Nate Robinson

The former NBA champ played for the Miami Heat in 2013. He was Paul's second pro opponent in November 2020 but didn't last long, getting knocked out in the second round.

Ben Askren

People had high hopes for Askren before his April 2021 fight with Paul because he was a former UFC fighter. But he was stopped in the first round. It was Paul's third pro fight, which made it even worse.

If the loss wasn't bad enough, Askren had lung failure four years later, almost dying, needing a transplant to survive.

Tyron Woodley

The former UFC welterweight champion fought Paul twice and lost both times, the second time by knockout. It's said that Woodley declared bankruptcy after those losses, which might explain why he boxed again against Anderson Silva on the Paul vs. Joshua card, which he also lost. His pro boxing record is 0-3.

Tommy Fury

His relationship with Molly-Mae Hague took a break in 2024. They're back together, but Molly-Mae is hesitant to get married.

Ryan Bourland

Bourland was 17-2 when he fought Paul in March 2024, so some thought he'd be hard to beat. But like Askren, Bourland didn't make it out of the first round. He quit boxing after losing to Paul and now works as a plumber.

Mike Tyson

Paul's fight with Mike Tyson was already strange, given Tyson is 58. It got stranger when news broke that Tyson had been in the hospital for weeks before the fight because of a bleeding ulcer, needing eight blood transfusions.

Maybe it was his age that caused the issue. Maybe it explained Tyson's weak showing in his loss in November 2024.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The former middleweight world champion and son of the famous Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. put on a weak performance in his loss to Paul in June 2025, hurting his father's reputation.

Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua gave Paul his second pro loss, but Paul made him work for it in a bigger ring than normal. He lasted six rounds before Joshua broke his jaw with a right hand.

If Jake Paul keeps fighting, his opponents should be ready and hope they don't also experience weird misfortune.

EGIS KLIMAS CONFIRMS MULTI-FIGHT AGREEMENT FOR OLEKSANDR USYK VS DEONTAY WILDER 2026

Oleksandr Usyk's manager, Egis Klimas, confirms a "very likely" 2026 fight against Deontay Wilder in either Las Vegas or Los Angeles.

Oleksandr Usyk vacated the WBO title for a Wilder bout

A possible fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder may happen at the following time, according to Usyk’s manager.

In 2025, Oleksandr Usyk had only one bout in the ring, where he knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of their rematch.

After that fight, there were rumours that the Ukrainian may retire from the sport because of had almost cleared out the heavyweight division.

Despite that, rumours were soon debunked, and the former undisputed heavyweight champion announced that he would be interested in facing former heavyweight title holder Deontay Wilder.

Usyk’s Manager Offers Date for Wilder Bout

It was reported a few weeks ago that Usyk had voluntarily relinquished his WBO heavyweight title. As a result, he is no longer undisputed.

Shortly after that announcement, the 38-year-old revealed he would like to fight ‘The Bronze Bomber,’ deeming him ‘one of the greatest heavyweights of the last 10 years.’

And when he was at the Night of the Samurai event last week, Usyk again was asked about his next potential opponent, and he repeated his desire to face Wilder.

On the likelihood of the fight, Usyk’s representative Egis Klimas told The National, “It’s very likely (we will see Usyk vs. Wilder). Because right now we’re working on it, and we’re working on some multi-fight agreement for Oleksandr.

“As soon as we confirm that, we’re going to jump in. And some talks are already going on with the team of Wilder. We’re looking at Las Vegas or Los Angeles, and the dates are the end of April and the beginning of May.”

The Ukrainian hasn't boxed Stateside since 2019, when he faced Chazz Witherspoon in his first heavyweight bout.

The selection of Wilder, however, is quite surprising, given his recent performance. The 40-year-old boxer is 2-3 in his last five bouts, suffering defeats at the hands of Zhilei Zhang, Joseph Parker, and Tyson Fury.

Would Usyk retire after the upcoming fight with Wilder? At the age of 38, the reality is that Usyk very likely has only a few bouts left in him at the very most. With the bulk of the heavyweight rankings already knocked out, there would be very little opposition left in the sport for Usyk, and retirement after a bout with Wilder would be expected.
