NEWCASTLE CONFIRM JOELINTON DAMAGE AFTER BRENTFORD HORROR SCENE
Newcastle United received a major injury boost as Joelinton's knee-high scare vs Brentford is just a cut, making him likely to face Man City. Tino Livramento is also on track for a comeback, while Anthony Gordon's hip issue is minor.

Ahead of their crucial matchup with Manchester City the following weekend, Newcastle United has received the perfect boost.
Joelinton had an injury early on at the Gtech Stadium and was subsequently sent off after just 24 minutes, which disrupted the game plan even though the Magpies lost 3-1 against Brentford. Eddie Howe made the difficult choice to replace the uneasy Brazilian as he sat hunched down on the ground.
Even though Joelinton's exclusion from the Brazil squad for matches against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium and Tunisia in Lille seemed like a setback at first, it might have turned out to be a boon of sorts. According to Chronicle Live, Joelinton only received a cut after an evaluation, after Dango Outtara challenged him.
Images of the star's leg displaying a terrible cut and the possibility of additional damage raised serious concerns for Toon medics during the Outtara knee-high challenge.
Joelinton has been evaluated, according to United insiders, and will be watched closely at the training facility in the hopes that the former Hoffenheim player will be prepared to play against City.
"I am not sure, it seemed like a knock, but it was certainly enough for him to go off," Howe had said during his press conference following the game on Sunday. The medical staff has not given me a thorough explanation or debriefing on him. Today, he was a huge miss.
However, Howe may now include Joelinton in his preparations for Pep Guardiola's team's visit, and it is also thought that Tino Livramento would join him. The former Chelsea player has not played since suffering a knee injury against Arsenal in September.
Although Livramento was not included in the Brentford squad, Howe is considering the City match as a possible return date. Livramento has missed ten games in all competitions.
"Tino is still on track, we are looking at the Manchester City game for him for when he can be available," Howe stated last Friday.
The black and whites also continue to investigate Anthony Gordon's hip problem, but the knock to the England man's side is only classed as a 'minor injury'.
Gordon was taken out of the Three Lions camp on Sunday and missed England's matches against Serbia and Albania. He was not included in Brentford's squad after being substituted out due to injury during the 2-0 victory at St James' Park against Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League.
SANDRO TONALI STANDS UP FOR EDDIE HOWE AFTER PLAYER RATINGS
Newcastle's Sandro Tonali gives Eddie Howe a '10 out of 10' rating, defending the head coach amid criticism. The midfielder credits Howe for his strong support on and off the pitch during his betting ban.

In response to criticism of Newcastle United's recent performances, Sandro Tonali has defended the manager, giving him a "10 out of 10" rating.
After their disheartening 3-1 loss at Brentford, Newcastle is currently in 14th place in the Premier League standings and has not won a league game away from home this season.
Given the incredible accomplishments of his first four years as Newcastle's manager, Howe has a lot of credit in the bank, but if the league form does not improve soon, there may be some valid concerns.
When Tonali spoke last week about his long-term future at Newcastle, he caused some concern, but there has never been any question about how highly the Italian international regards Howe.
Howe and Newcastle supported Tonali throughout his 10-month football suspension for violating betting regulations, and it has paid off as the 25-year-old has developed into one of the league's top midfielders.
It was therefore not shocking to see him honour the manager who has helped him grow since he joined from AC Milan in the summer of 2023.
Tonali told Newcastle's official website, "I think he is 10 out of 10 because he truly likes me on and off the pitch." "He gave me a lot of mental support during my first year because we practice mentally on the field every day and every week.
"In my opinion, he is an excellent gaffer. Whether you start the game, are on the bench, or are at home, every player in our group collaborates on the field every day.
"Every player is satisfied here, and the reason probably ends up with him, so I think this is fantastic."
DISASTER FOR NEWCASTLE: ANOTHER STRIKER WILLIAM OSULA SIDELINED WITH NEW INJURY
Newcastle's injury crisis deepens as striker William Osula withdraws from the Denmark squad. The news comes after Anthony Gordon's England withdrawal, depleting Eddie Howe's attacking options.

Only a few days into the international break, Newcastle United has already faced another setback due to injuries.
Anthony Gordon recently pulled out of the England squad for the Magpies because of a hip injury, while Joelinton and Nick Pope have both been dealing with different problems lately.
As a striker withdraws from international service, Newcastle United faces yet another injury issue.
Given their busy future calendar, the Magpies will be hoping that important members of the squad can recover shortly after losing to Brentford before the November break.
Howe's team has 11 games left before the year ends, including a crucial matchup with Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League and upcoming Premier League matches against Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
Unfortunately, William Osula had to withdraw from Denmark's forthcoming international matches against Scotland and Belarus, as notified by the Danish FA.
Since neither his country nor his club have yet to clarify the extent of Osula's injury, Yussuf Poulsen has been called up to take his place.
Every week, the greatest features, entertaining, and football-related quizzes are delivered directly to your inbox.
"Yussuf has a ton of experience and has already led Denmark to the European Championship and World Cup finals. When coach Brian Riemer announced Osula's injury, he stated, "He can impact games with his pressing, his presence in the box, and he is always willing to battle till the blood spurts, and that will be a decisive aspect for us."
Despite summer interest, Osula chose to stay at St. James' Park, particularly once it was revealed that Yoane Wissa would be out for a long time.
Although he has not played for his new team yet, the former Brentford player might make a comeback during the Africa Cup of Nations.
Nick Woltemade will be the only player leading the line for the Magpies over the coming months if the 29-year-old is called up by DR Congo, which could aggravate Howe even more.
