NUNO ESPíRITO SANTO STRENGTHENS SQUAD SUPPORT STAFF BY ADDING RUI BARBOSA
West Ham United Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo confirms his long-time assistant Rui Barbosa has joined the Club as the new First-Team Goalkeeping Coach, reuniting their successful partnership.

The appointment of Rui Barbosa, his longtime assistant, as the club's first-team goalkeeping coach has been confirmed by head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.
As a former goalkeeping coach for Rio Ave, Porto, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Al-Ittihad, and most recently, Nottingham Forest, Barbosa, a Portuguese native who played for teams like Rio Ave and Nacional in his native country, has previously collaborated with Nuno.
Along with other Academy instructors Mark Robson, Steve Potts, and Gerard Prenderville, Billy Lepine was promoted to the senior setup earlier this month, and he will now work closely with them in the goalkeeping department at West Ham United.
Nuno said he was thrilled to have Barbosa arrive at his press conference ahead of Sunday's Premier League match against Newcastle United.
"I think he can help us," he remarked. He has worked with me for many years and has a wealth of experience.
"I believe he can enhance our team performance and get along well with Billy and our current goalkeepers."

When Juventus' new manager made his managerial debut this weekend against Cremonese, we already knew he would be without the club's greatest defence. We learned that Spalletti would also be without the Bianconeri's top attacking player when Juventus left for Cremona on Friday night.
Due to a knee injury that caused him to start on the bench against Lazio in what turned out to be Igor Tudor's final game as manager in Turin, Juventus star attacker Kenan Yildiz was left out of the travelling squad for Saturday night's match against Cremonese, which pits seventh place against eighth place. Yildiz played the entire game and scored from the penalty spot three days later in Juventus' victory over Udinese, which stopped their eight-game losing streak, even though he only participated in the second half at the Stadio Olimpico. Thus, it was hoped that Yildiz's small knee problem, which Tudor claimed was bothering him last week, would be resolved.
It turns out that it isn't, and as a result, Spalletti will not have him available for his debut game as manager of Juventus.

With little training time after Tudor's dismissal, will he adopt Massimo Brambilla's strategy and stick with the three-man defence? Will he adopt the four-man backline he most frequently used at Napoli? Is it going to be a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3? We simply do not know!
However, we do know that Juventus is a worse team without Yildiz than they are when he plays. The last thing Spalletti needs is for both Bremer and Yildiz, his undisputed top two players on this team, to be sidelined for prolonged periods of time, so let us hope this knee problem does not persist.
