Rodrygo makes feelings clear amid Real Madrid rumours
Following rumours that he would join several elite clubs this summer, Rodrygo has made his position on his future at Real Madrid clear.
Rodrygo was reportedly left out of head coach Xabi Alonso's plans after the Spaniard took over in June, despite interest from a number of teams, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Under Alonso, Rodrygo started just one of six Club World Cup games, which fueled more suspicions. The rumours have persisted due to the Brazilian star's consistent exclusion from the starting lineup this season, where he has only started two of eight games.
Rodrygo has now put an end to the rumours by openly acknowledging his ambition to stay at Santiago Bernabeu "as long as Real Madrid wants" him to in a recent interview with Diario AS.
"I experience the same sensation every summer. Whether I have offers from this club or that, or if I am going to leave. If I followed what was published, I was in a team every week. Of course, there are always offers, and I am not going to lie about it," according to GOAL."There are always offers, of course; I will not lie about that," according to GOAL.
"However, I have always communicated to the club that I desire to achieve even more success here than I already have. At my age, winning two Champions Leagues is quite an accomplishment, but I now want to wear this shirt to more European Cups."

"I know you prefer playing on the left, but I am going to need you in other places too," the manager remarked as he brought me in for a conversation. "All right, manager, I am here to help the team," I said to him. I informed him that although I am always available to the squad to play on the right or as a number nine, everyone knows that I am much better on the left flank."
"The fact is, I appreciate the amount of minutes I am receiving, and he is just placing me on the left. Though it makes sense that I would like to play more, I am doing okay. I am evolving, and I am becoming happier as I grow better and better. My performance keeps getting better.
Rodrygo will be trying to make his third start of the season in Real Madrid's La Liga matchup against Getafe CF on October 19 at Coliseum Stadium after appearing for Brazil on an international level this week.

Lisandro Martinez returns to first-team training, giving Manchester United a significant conditioning boost ahead of their Premier League matchup against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Lisandro Martinez has returned to first-team training for Manchester United, giving them a significant fitness boost ahead of their Premier League matchup against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Due to a serious knee injury sustained during a Premier League match against Crystal Palace, the Argentina international has not played for the 20-time English champions since early February.
However, Martinez has been speeding up his recuperation in recent weeks, and on Wednesday, the former Ajax centre-back was allowed to rejoin his teammates for training.
It is extremely doubtful that Martinez will play for Man United when they travel to Forest on Saturday, but the 27-year-old might return to the team for the match against Tottenham Hotspur on November 9.
Lisandro Martinez of Manchester United resumes training with the first team.
According to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim, "He’s feeling fine," last week. "I do not want to mention a single day or week because the knee is doing so wonderfully.
"I am not sure, but the team's training is about to begin. After that, Licha's rhythm will determine whether he places or not, but he is closer to starting training again.
The Red Devils will not be taking any chances with the Argentine because of the severity of the injury, and his return may be postponed until after the international break in November.
Luke Shaw's place in the starting lineup is now seriously threatened; therefore, Martinez's return is a significant boost for the 20-time English champions. Martinez is an expert in the left-sided role in the back three.
After joining Old Trafford from Ajax in the summer of 2022, the South American has made 91 appearances for the Red Devils, tallying three goals and three assists.
